Docu Center Ramstein
“Ramstein, Germany” is known worldwide for its air base, while Kaiserslautern is commonly referred to as “K-Town”. For more than 60 years, the presence of the U.S. military has shaped the Palatinate region and large parts of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The Docu Center Ramstein (DCR) documents and researches the history of Americans in Rhineland-Palatinate. It preserves documents, photographs, objects and other historical material relating to German-American history and the U.S. military presence in the region. Parts of the collection can also be viewed online through Museum Digital.
Since 2013, the Docu Center has presented this important chapter of German-American and European contemporary history in a professionally designed bilingual exhibition. Special exhibitions are also regularly presented at the exhibition site.
